Comic-Con

Gareb Shamus, CEO of Wizard Entertainment, has purchased the New England Comic Con in order to expand the Wizard World Comic Con tour. Shamus acquired the show from Larry Harrison (of Harrison 's Comics & Collectibles) and Jimmy Tournas. In an effort to ensure that fan favorite traditions are maintained, both Harrison and Tournas will continue to be associated with the Boston-based show.  

Few celebrities represent the outrageousness of celebrity journalism like 'Twilight' stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart -- and by association, their co-star (third wheel?!) Taylor Lautner . And if you believe everything you've read about these -- well, you must wonder how they've managed to survive various "other" men/women, a failed engagement, and a two pregnancies (one for her, and yes, one for him).  

I don't know a lot about the finale, but as you can see, the Master (John Simm) is back, and that usually spells disaster. Guest stars in the final specials include Simm, Timothy Dalton, Catherine Tate, Lindsay Duncan and Bernard Cribbins. Tennant is leaving the iconic role along with creator Russell T Davies, who joined the actor at Comic-Con in July. They're passing the franchise on to showrunner Steven Moffat and actor Matt Smith , who will play the Eleventh Doctor in a new season premiering in 2010 on BBC America.  

Superhero movies are a pretty big deal here at Screen Rant and debate about superhero movies is an even bigger deal. Whether it's a violent argument cordial disagreement over whether Iron Man was better than The Dark Knight , what the next Superman movie should be about or which actors should be cast as our favorite heroes onscreen – we tend to debate it all. I guess our geektastic reputation is starting to precede us a bit, because someone thought it prudent to direct us to an online chart, ...  

The story that began as a dream is now a dream come true for author Stephenie Meyer. Her "Twilight" series skyrocketed to the top of every bestseller list and now it's topping box office charts as well. The most recent installment in the series, New Moon, opened in theaters at midnight on Friday and thousands of fans across the nation have already seen the movie.

What's great about New Moon is it takes all of the wonderful emotional elements that were in "Twilight" and then it takes them up a level by adding everything else, like the action   -Edi Gathegi

Yesterday was the day that exhibitors tried to book their hotel rooms for San Diego Comic Con 2010. And prayed they'd get one close to the San Diego Comic Convention. The Marriot or the Hyatt basically.  

Once again, Electronic Arts has exploited Christians to help promote its upcoming video game adaptation of Dante's Inferno. The official website for Mass: We Pray now unsurprisingly reveals the Church-centric mini-game compilation to be a hoax. "He who betrays the beliefs of the Church blackens his soul with the sin of Heresy. A Mass not celebrated by ordained priest or on consecrated soil is naught but false ritual condemned by clergy," declares the message that pops up when users click to either pre-order the game or send a "digital blessing" to a friend.
